Self-Care Day 1 – First Makeup Buy since the Pandemic

I don’t wear a lot of makeup. Most of the time before 4 am when I roll out of bed to put on my gym clothes to head to the gym, makeup is the furthest thing from my mind. I brush my teeth and head to my main bathroom where my mascara is. Because I have eight eye lashes, it’s the only thing I really want to add to. My eyes look smaller and like I just woke up.
The other piece of makeup I wear, if you could call it that, is chapstick. Especially since the weather has been getting colder, my lips are starting to dry out. I noticed when I went to the dentist for a dental cleaning. She had me put on some chapstick she had before she got to work in my mouth.
I couldn’t wait to just start picking out the basics, a tinted moisturizer, eye shadow and eye liner. I also bought a lipstick with a shine, for going out, not am first thing at the gym. Chapstick is fine for now but I loaded up my makeup box which I just put on the bathroom counter. l am sure it will take some getting used to again, especially since application with my right hand is a little wonky, especially my handwriting. My right shoulder weakness came first, following my lower right body, my leg. I can deal with it. I just have to figure out the best way to do it. And I will. I look forward to it.
