MS Can’t Stop Me: How Coloring and Gratitude Became My Therapy

Let’s be real—MS can throw some serious curveballs. One day, you feel fine. The next? Your body has a mind of its own. It’s frustrating, exhausting, and some days, just straight-up overwhelming. But here’s what I know for sure: MS doesn’t get to steal our joy.
A while back, I discovered something that changed everything for me: coloring as therapy. I’ve always loved being creative, but after I was diagnosed with MS, my hands didn’t always cooperate. Fine motor skills? Not so fine. But I refused to let that stop me.
I remember when I took a course on making coloring books. It lit a fire in me. I wanted to dive into those beautiful, intricate designs—like Johanna Basford’s stunning work—but I quickly realized that small details and shaky hands don’t mix. Instead of giving up, I adapted. I figured out what worked for me, and that’s how MS Can’t Stop Me was born.
Why These Books Matter
I created these books for people like us—those who love to create but need a design that meets us where we’re at. That’s why I designed my MS Can’t Stop Me Coloring Books with bold lines and larger spaces, making them easier to color without frustration. Whether your hands feel steady or not, you can still experience the calming, meditative benefits of coloring—without wanting to throw your markers across the room.
And because mindset is everything, I also created the Gratitude Journal for MS Warriors to help shift focus to what’s still good. This journal is packed with daily prompts, affirmations, and even some coloring pages to help you stay grounded. Because even on the hardest days, there’s always something to be grateful for.
I didn’t just make these books. I live them. Coloring is part of my meditation practice. It brings me peace, helps me refocus, and reminds me that I am more than my diagnosis.
And guess what? So are you.
