Conquering the Rain: How a Morning Routine Sets the Tone

Smiling in the storm because showing up anyway is the win.

A few nights ago, at my son’s concert, it was pouring — and someone I didn’t even know handed me an umbrella. I didn’t ask. They just saw me struggling and stepped in. That moment stuck with me. It reminded me that the world still has people who show up.

This morning, I showed up too. Not because it was easy — but because I’ve made a choice to stop waiting for conditions to be perfect. Rain or shine, I’m building strength — physically and mentally.

And when I left the gym? The sky had cleared. That same rain that tried to stop me ended up being nothing more than background noise.

So if you’re waiting for the perfect time — don’t. You don’t need perfect. You just need to start.

What’s one thing you’re proud of showing up for today, even when it wasn’t easy?
