Benjamin Franklin Would Have Been a Blogger.

Benjamin Franklin Biography

I happened upon Benjamin Franklin – an-American life, when I was looking for Benjamin Franklin‘s the 13 virtues. I had wanted to create my own set of virtues, updating it for current times, and for my own needs, and I found a biography about Benjamin Franklin on audible.

When I started listening to the book, it was surprising to me that a book about history was actually intriguing.. I never really cared for history in school, and it seemed very dry to me. But the author brings to life an amazing human being.

At times, writing letters to his friends, with the results of his findings, which were very funny. I especially like the one where he talked about how to cool yourself off at night by taking the fabric of your pajamas, at that time I guess a night dress, and shaking it 20 times to cool the body from sweating. it was very matter-of-fact, but it was very funny. Can you imagine getting a letter like this? I’m pretty sure that no matter when, like what century you would get a letter like this, it would definitely be funny. he found electricity in his experiment with a kite and a key. One person even died on his experiment when they didn’t realize how dangerous lightning actually was. He would capture electricity in jars, filled with tinfoil and make very rudimentary batteries.

He helped form our government, was a major influence on our declaration of independence in the formation of our nation. The idea that he did this later in life, at the age of 81, one of the oldest people on the group, elected to create our nation from 13 colonies and draft a constitution. Was pretty remarkable.

He also logged everything that he did. And he was very strict about noting the hours that he did things. The fact that I’m sitting here with my iPhone in my car dictating this blog post seems like something he might’ve done if he had a smart phone, Bluetooth earbuds, and a gym membership. I think he had a dumbbell. oh one thing he also did was invented bifocals. Speaking of which, I left mine on the counter when I was having my collagen protein shake this morning at 3:30 AM. I have to tweak my routine because I definitely need my glasses to see up close. So I hope this post is good enough as I loaded up on WordPress. Benjamin Franklin definitely would’ve had a blog too.

Note: this Ben Franklin reading is part of my mind building. Not everything that I do needs to be self-help, and I realize that now. I just need to keep building my mind. When I have an awareness of some thing like I’m looking at how Ben Franklin did things, and how he was as a person, I see a lot of parallels that he was always trying to reinvent himself and make his world a better place. I see a parallel between his personality type in mine. I used to think that I was scatterbrained, with all these different interests, starting things, not finishing them up, but it’s OK to have different interests. It’s what makes me unique and makes meet me. I have way more to talk about now then if I did just one thing my whole life. And I’m pretty happy to find all that nuts that I’ve left behind as a squirrel packing him away. I will Sharon needs things with you, and hope that you too, can realize important that you live on the world. It doesn’t matter what your disability, your physical being, doesn’t really matter as much as your mind. You are an amazing person, and you deserve to know it.
