From Books to Merchandise: How My Creative Journey Evolved

From Fight Every Day to This Is Me, every design in the MS Warrior collection

I’ve always been a creator at heart.

In 2019, I published my first book, Smartphone Photography Secrets, to help entrepreneurs and small business owners use their phones to take better photos and elevate their brands.

It was an exciting chapter — teaching, empowering, and helping others show up better in their brands.

But as the world shifted during the pandemic, the publishing space became flooded.

Suddenly, it felt like everyone was writing books, and I realized that simply writing more books wasn’t the long-term path I envisioned for myself.

I wanted something that could scale.

Something that would allow me to continue creating, but in a way that connected with people in their everyday lives — not just when they picked up a book.

That realization led me to expand into new types of products: guided journals, notebooks, and inspirational coloring books.

Each one blended creativity with messages of hope, self-reflection, and resilience.

Some of them resonated deeply with my audience — and I’m grateful for every person who found a piece of strength within those pages.

Still, I knew there was more I wanted to build.

I didn’t just want to write inspiration — I wanted to bring inspiration into people’s daily routines.

That’s when I made the leap into merchandise.

T-shirts, mugs — everyday items that carry a powerful message.

Wearable and usable reminders that strength, hope, and resilience are part of who we are — no matter what challenges we face.

Especially as someone living with a chronic illness, I know firsthand how important it is to be surrounded by positive reminders.

Some days, even the smallest words of encouragement can make a world of difference.

For me, the journey has never been about abandoning one thing for another.

It’s been about evolution — allowing my creativity to grow in ways that feel more sustainable, scalable, and aligned with the life I want to build.

Books.

Journals.

Coloring books.

Merchandise.

Different mediums. Same mission: To create things that inspire people every single day.

And this is only the beginning.

Let me know if you want a closing line like “Let me know in the comments if you’ve ever pivoted creatively” or something more engaging at the end!
