The Beauty of Persistence: My Six-Day Coloring Journey

Some projects take longer than expected, but when you pour your heart into something, the results are worth every second. This mandala took six days to complete, and I truly focused on the details, experimenting with different techniques to enhance my skills as an artist.
Coloring isn’t just about filling in shapes; it’s about patience, growth, and self-expression. With this piece, I challenged myself to refine my shading, layering, and color blending. I love how my favorite color palette came together—vibrant blues, greens, oranges, and yellows creating a mesmerizing, intricate design.
Finding My Artistic Flow
This is my fourth page from the book Amazing Patterns, and while each design is unique, they all carry a similar color theme. I enjoy seeing how each piece evolves and builds upon the last. The repetition of this palette across different patterns makes them feel cohesive—a collection of art that tells a story.
I plan to display this on my wall as a reminder that growth comes from practice, patience, and persistence. Whether it’s art, fitness, writing, or any skill, you only improve by showing up and putting in the work.
Overcoming Challenges
For those who struggle with physical limitations, I want you to know: find a way to make it happen. Chronic illness, disability, or any other challenge doesn’t have to stop you from doing what you love. Modify your approach, take breaks, adapt your tools—but never stop creating, learning, and pushing forward.
Practice, practice, practice. Growth happens in the moments when you push through frustration and keep going. I’m proud of this piece, but even more, I’m proud of the process that got me here.
