Morning Motivation: Cherishing Life’s Simple Gifts
How do significant life events or the passage of time influence your perspective on life?

At 36, my MS diagnosis cast a new light on life’s path, turning struggles into pieces of a larger puzzle. It explained the trips, the unexpected falls, and brief moments of double vision. While some symptoms have faded, others, like my steadfast ‘bum leg’, continue to shape my journey. But with time, my view of life transformed. I found joy in the everyday—a beautiful sunrise after an early gym session, the independence of driving there myself, hand controls and all.
This shift didn’t come easily; it was a choice to find happiness in the small things. My young son, a bundle of energy and my greatest motivation, reminds me every day why this change in perspective matters. He’s not just a part of my journey; he’s the reason I strive to stay positive and set an example of perseverance and strength. Life with MS is a challenge, but it’s also an opportunity to recognize the value in each moment, to appreciate the ability to experience life’s simple pleasures, and to understand the importance of pushing forward, no matter what. It’s about finding the strength to welcome each new day with a smile and an unwavering spirit. Never give up.
