Finding Purpose in Gratitude: Appreciating What I Have and Why I Do It

This morning, during my meditation practice, I reflected on the importance of being grateful for what we have. It’s so easy to get caught up in wanting more and more, forgetting to appreciate the blessings right in front of us. As I thought about my journey with creating coloring books and journals, I realized that my passion for this work goes beyond just the act of creating—it’s about fulfilling a deeper purpose of inspiring others.

Living with a progressive condition has its challenges, but it has also given me a unique perspective on gratitude. I’m fortunate to have the support of my husband, which allows me to focus on my creative endeavors and be there for my son as he starts new adventures, like his first day of school today. I may not be a graphic designer by trade, but I have learned enough to create something meaningful, and that is what truly matters.

Through this process, I’ve learned that success isn’t just about making a profit—it’s about growth, learning, and sharing something valuable with the world. Every coloring book and journal I create is a step toward improving my craft and spreading positivity. I’m grateful for the opportunity to do what I love, and I know that with patience and dedication, everything will continue to get better. Today, I remind myself to appreciate the present and stay focused on my purpose, because I truly have more than I need.
