Chasing Giants: My Quest for the Elusive Aquarium and its Majestic Hippos
Name an attraction or town close to home that you still haven’t got around to visiting.

Growing up near Brighton Beach, with childhood memories of my mom working at the New York Aquarium in Brooklyn, I’ve always had a fondness for aquatic life. However, despite living in New Jersey, I have yet to visit the Camden Aquarium. It’s a glaring omission on my list of local attractions. What particularly excites me about the Camden Aquarium is their hippo exhibit. I’ve seen hippos before, but only at a distance in a zoo. The opportunity to observe these magnificent creatures up close is something I eagerly look forward to. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the most intriguing destinations are just a stone’s throw away.
Your childhood connection to the New York Aquarium and your ongoing interest in aquatic life make your desire to visit the Camden Aquarium especially meaningful. It’s fascinating how close yet unexplored some attractions can be. The anticipation of seeing the hippos up close at the Camden Aquarium must be quite thrilling for you. When you do get the chance to visit, what do you hope to learn or experience specifically about hippos that you haven’t had the opportunity to do before? Your journey in chasing these aquatic giants is quite inspiring! 🌊🦛✨
Thanks for your response, Justin. I think they’d be pretty cool I’ve never really seen them up close except that the Bronx zoo. Thanks again! 🦛
