So, I commissioned my Documentary. My birthday gift to me!
In preparation for this third week of my 13 virtues project, I am working on planning. Last week, I reached out on fiverr, a website that I have used in the past to get help on small projects that subject area experts are working on building for their portfolios. You get a pretty good price for a subject expert. I looked for someone that was knowledgeable in the area of creating documentaries.

The first part of planning this project was dividing my background into sections, mainly my career choices through the years, including singing, marketing, personal training… The more I looked through my background the more I saw a common thread. It took a while, and I definitely needed some help because it was overwhelming to me. Luckily, my mom was also subject matter expert in my history since she’s been there through all of it. Sometimes you just don’t see it like somebody else does.
I created a shared folder so the expert creating my documentary could have shared access, and I made folders for each decade. It was in each of these folders that I would start loading my videos and photos.

Luckily, over the years, I’ve been pretty good at documenting things, maybe not so much as keeping them in one place, but I took a look at Facebook and saw when things were posted and then I could come back to my photos and see when that it was. And there, voila, would be the original.
No, I didn’t have some of the photos I was looking for, but I know my mom had access to them on her drive. I gave her access to this folder, and she then uploaded what she had to the specific decade, primarily pre-1990.
I also want to use this documentary on my website, a shortened 2 1/2 minute version of it to introduce people to who I am when they come to my website. Eventually, I would like to do some motivational speaking. Unless I have my background up there, and where I came from, it would be pretty tough after all of those years to prove that I have the knowledge to do so.
For my third week of the year, planning, I am on board. I think this is one of the most rich and complicated projects I have ever undertaken.
Stay tuned!
