Finding Focus: My Next Phase as an Author

Nothing Stops Me Ever – one of my coloring book creations

Over the past year, I’ve been immersed in creating coloring books and journals, a journey that began with my gratitude journal. This project incorporated inspirational quotes from famous figures, and I was amazed at how tools like AI could generate and customize affirmations based on my needs. Using Canva, I seamlessly integrated these into journals, a process that inspired me to expand my creative efforts into coloring books.

Interestingly, while I loved coloring as a child, I never thought of it as something I’d enjoy as an adult. Yet, as I began creating coloring pages, I rediscovered the joy of filling in those crisp, black-and-white designs. It’s become a key part of my mindfulness practice—helping me slow down, focus, and relax. Whether it’s starting my day with intention or unwinding at night, coloring offers a peaceful escape and a chance to reflect.

Through this journey, I’ve developed a clear style. I love bold, high-contrast images that give users creative freedom. I’m not a fan of grayscale designs—I prefer clean lines that let the artist decide where shadows and depth belong. Each image I create is carefully refined before making its way into a book.

Now, I’m shifting gears to focus on low-content books that are not only functional but also inspiring. My current project, a Symptom Tracker Journal, is designed to help people monitor their health with ease and clarity. It’s portable, customizable, and includes features like mood scales and affirmations to support both mental and physical well-being.

Creating this journal is a labor of love—it’s not the typical “low-content” book since it involves a lot of upfront work. But I’m excited to see it come to life. As I refine the design, I’m also researching keywords like “symptom tracker,” “symptom journal,” and “symptom notebook” to ensure it reaches the right audience.

This journey has been rewarding, but now I’d love to hear from you: What tools or practices help you stay organized and inspired in your daily life? Let’s share ideas—I’m always looking for new ways to bring more creativity and meaning to the books I create!
