Speaker 1 (0:01): Hey everybody, thank you so much for joining me today for another episode of the Chronically Empowered Mom podcast, also here on YouTube, if that’s where you’re watching me. I’m really excited about today’s topic because it’s something that I do every day. I’ve been doing it for a while now. I didn’t always have an affirmations process, but I just have to say that it really boosts your self-confidence and makes you feel large and in charge when you step out there in the real world for the rest of your day.
Speaker 1 (0:53): So I just wanted to give you a few reasons that you should be starting an affirmations practice and what exactly an affirmations practice really is. So affirmations are statements that pretty much start with I am. What I love about them is it puts it in the present tense. It doesn’t make you think of what used to be or what’s going to be down the future, or what you’re going to do or what you intend to do, takes that off the table and tells you what you are Okay. So it builds your self-confidence, because if you put yourself in a positive mindset, the rest of your day is going to be positive.
Speaker 1 (1:33): So I have a gratitude practice that I perform every morning and every evening before I go to sleep because it just puts my mind in that right positivity to get the best dreams and also start my day on the right foot. So I just want to give you some reasons that what? For the reasons that you should have an affirmations project process in your life. Okay, forgive me for stumbling over my words, but I’ve been practicing getting this recording just right.
Speaker 1 (2:06): When you do a podcast, there are a lot of things in order, and also when you have a video that you want to do with the podcast, you also have to make sure that your video is set up right. The video has the microphone off-screen, so it’s not in the screen. I’ve got some notes that I want to make sure you know I don’t forget. I don’t forget to touch upon. So I’ve got a lot of things that are in my face right now that you can’t see.
Speaker 1 (2:30): But forgive me if I’m a little distracted trying to get all ready for this. You know I haven’t been doing this for too long. This is, I think, the 23rd episode, I believe, if I’m correct, and you know I’m still trying to get into these big shoes, trying to fit them, because this is really me. Okay, if I’m a little hyped up. It’s just who I am. There’s nothing but some green tea in here, maybe a little protein after the gym this morning. I guess that’s where I went it’s still what I’m dressed for so wanted to make sure that I came home and got this all out of my brain, because it’s just something that I start during my morning hours to think of what I want to share with the world, and I had to get this down in the recording.
Speaker 1 (3:11): Okay, so video, also audio, but I’ve been liking to do these morning thoughts every morning, like as soon as I get out of the gym. Just, you know, 30 seconds, put it on TikTok, put it up on YouTube and also on Facebook with some family and friends that I have there, and it’s just a great way to start your day. Affirmations totally do that as well, so they get your mind in the right mode. They start with I am Now. An affirmation is something that you affirm. It’s something that is true. It wasn’t thought of to be ever a lie. You’re, you know, you’re empowered, you are empowered. You don’t need to validate that as a fact. It’s just something that is. So if you affirm it, you’re training and your subconscious mind to believe that.
Speaker 1 (3:53): You know, I know that there are some world leaders that probably have said a lot of things through the years that are quite false and continue to, and I won’t name names, but you know, you are, you know. You just are surprised at the people who believe it also, the more that they hear it. You know you, you have to believe what you say. So sometimes, if you’ve got nothing else better to say than a lie, if you keep saying that lie, it’s going to become true. So the best thing that you can do is to say that positive stuff that makes things happen.
Speaker 1 (4:25): And I am so empowered by doing this because I get to share this with the world. They don’t just get to hold on to all this positivity. For me, I feel like I have an abundance. I have an abundance of this positivity and I want to share with the world. So I am empowered. I am a sharing person. I am in charge, sitting here with all of this high-tech equipment making sure that my Wi-Fi is working, that I’m plugged in so that I’m recording at the highest quality level I can for the recording. So a lot of things that have to be in order and, considering that I have MS, that’s pretty amazing that I can do what I can. I worked out five o’clock this morning. I got up at 2 45 am, did my meditation, got my head straight, got it on right. So I’m telling you, affirmations totally work. They don’t work overnight Not going to happen.
Speaker 1 (5:06): I’m going to actually give you a few affirmations to start with and I’m going to actually share with you how I do my affirmations process in the morning. There is this amazing coach. His name is Kenneth Soares, he’s in Norway and he is on the Insight Timer app, which I highly recommend. If you don’t know where to start in terms of meditation or being positive gratitude affirmations, this is the place that you want to start because a lot of it is guided. So if you’re a beginner, they can kind of guide you as to what to think and what to say to yourself. That’s how I got it started.
Speaker 1 (5:38): So Kenneth Soares has these amazing affirmations meditations. So he has these kind of chants that are going on in the background and they’re like drum chants in there. They’re very different than anything I’ve ever heard of. So I was looking for one to share with you today and I found a shamanic drum beat for self-power, and if that doesn’t say it, I don’t know what else does. Affirmations are completely supposed to get you power. They’re supposed to power who you are. So I’m going to play this in the background. I’m going to share 10 affirmations for you and I really hope that you come back to this podcast and you do these affirmations over again. Do them every morning, every night, do them throughout your day because I’m telling you if you keep saying them over and over and over again, they will become true.
Speaker 1 (6:19): You know, it’s like some of these songs that they say, over and over and over again, and you just, you just get stuck singing them. Why do you think that happens? Because they’re just true and they get stuck in your head and you’ve got to keep saying them because you want to keep telling yourself that you’re a great person and you are because I don’t care who you are. You are a great person. You have a lot to offer the world. So I’m going to give you 10 of my favorite affirmations, ones that I started with, and ones that I still say every day because they’re great. Okay, let’s get into it. So I’m going to turn this up a little bit louder and hopefully, you know it won’t be distracting to you. So here we go.
