The Last Step Before CAR-T: A Grateful Look Ahead
Yesterday I checked off the last big step before starting CAR-T treatment for MS: a baseline MRI. I walked in with a scratchy throat from a stubborn cold my son passed along, but I walked out with something bigger—gratitude. After years of tests, walk counts, and endless appointments, this scan means I’m finally standing at the edge of real hope. CAR-T isn’t easy—it comes with hospital time, recovery, and a lot of unknowns—but it also offers something I haven’t felt in years: the chance at a life without constant medicine and the weight of MS. This isn’t just about surviving anymore. It’s about taking my life back.
